Cuba Books Wanted at Guatemala Fair
Guatemala, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s stand at the Guatemala International Book Fair has been well attended, with over one thousand titles by eight publishers.
"We welcomed a huge crowd of readers this weekend,"
Carlos Ariel Hernandez, assistant commercial manager of Abril Publisher told Prensa Latina.
Books dealing with the life and work of guerrilla commander Ernesto Che Guevara, and speeches by Cuban President Fidel Castro for children and youth have been among those mostly sold.
"And of course, the book "Todo el tiempo de los cedros," with family passages of Fidel Castro´s life,"
Hernandez stated.
Interactive CDs and DVDs with educational series for youth, including mathematics, Spanish, chemistry and physics courses, and programs for future mothers have also had wide acceptance.
Over 100 publishers from Latin America are participating in the 14th edition of the Guatemalan book fair, as well as representatives of publishing houses from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
